Belgrado (Servisch: Београд, Beograd, letterlijk "Witte Stad") is de hoofdstad van Servië (sinds 1404). In 2002 telde de stad Belgrado 1.120.092 inwoners, het gehele district Belgrado telde op dat moment 1.576.124 inwoners. Belgrado ligt aan de zuidrand van de Panonische laagvlakte, waar de Sava uitmondt in de Donau. Het is de enige Europese stad die in de twintigste eeuw vijfmaal gebombardeerd is.
